Turkish Raw Bulgur Köfte
Ingredients
- 1 cup fine bulgur
- 1 cup boiling water
Sauce
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 tablespoons isot
- 2 tablespoons pomegranate molasses
- 1 tablespoon mixed tomato paste
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 tablespoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 tablespoon five-spice blend
Preparation
Add the bulgur and boiling water to a food processor and let it sit for 10 minutes.
Add the sauce ingredients to the food processor and blend until well mixed.
Blend intermittently and allow the food processor to rest to avoid overheating.
Tips
For those who prefer less spice, use only 1 tablespoon of isot.
You can adjust the quantities of ingredients as desired.
