Air Fried Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers
Ingredients
- 5 jalapeños
- 5 pieces bacon
Buffalo cashew sauce
- 1 cup cashews
- 1/4 cup hot sauce
- 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 cup water
Preparation
Buffalo cashew sauce
Soak 1 cup of cashews for at least 4 hours in water.
Drain and rinse the cashews.
Add the cashews to a food processor with 1/4 cup hot sauce, 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast, 1 teaspoon chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, and 1/2 cup water.
Pulse everything until it reaches a sauce consistency.
Popper preparation and cooking
Preheat air fryer to 325°F.
Cut the jalapeños in half and remove all the seeds, wearing gloves to protect your hands.
Wash the jalapeños and pat them dry.
Scoop some of the sauce into each jalapeño half.
Slice 5 pieces of bacon in half and wrap each jalapeño half with a piece of bacon.
Cook in the air fryer in batches if necessary for 14-15 minutes until the bacon is crispy.
