Crunchy Spiced Chickpea Avocado Toast
Ingredients
- 1 large avocado
- 1 can chickpeas
- 1/2 teaspoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon mild chili powder
- Pinch of turmeric
- Bread slices
- 1 lime
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Mash the avocado with lime juice, salt, and pepper.
Toast the bread slices until golden brown.
Roast the chickpeas at 180°C/360°F for 20 minutes in olive oil until crunchy.
Remove the chickpeas, toss them with the spices, and return to the oven for a few more minutes to absorb the flavor.
Serve the spiced chickpeas on top of the toasted bread and mashed avocado, with a squeeze of lime on the side.
