Spiced Chickpea Avocado Toast
Ingredients
- 1 large avocado
- 1 can of chickpeas
- 1/2 teaspoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon mild chili powder
- Pinch of turmeric
- Lime
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Bread slices
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180°C
Mash the avocado with lime juice, salt, and pepper
Toast the bread slices
Roast the chickpeas in olive oil at 180°C for 20 minutes until crunchy.
Remove the chickpeas, toss with the spices, and return to the oven for a few more minutes to absorb flavor.
Serve the spiced chickpeas on top of the toasted bread with the mashed avocado and a squeeze of lime.
