Spiced Chickpea Avocado Toast
Ingredients
- 1 large avocado
- 1 can chickpeas
- 1/2 teaspoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon mild chili powder
- Pinch of turmeric
- Lime (for mashing)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 180°C/360°F
Rinse and pat dry the chickpeas
Mash the avocado with lime juice, salt, and pepper
Roast the chickpeas in olive oil at 180°C/360°F for 20 minutes until crunchy.
Remove chickpeas from oven, mix with spices, and return to oven for a few more minutes to absorb flavors.
Toast bread slices
Serve the spiced chickpeas on top of the toast with mashed avocado and a squeeze of lime.
