Flattened Rice Chivda Snack
Ingredients
- peanuts
- flattened rice (poha)
- oil
- mustard seeds
- curry leaves
- chili powder
- salt
Preparation
Heat oil and fry the peanuts on low heat till crisp, then drain and keep on absorbent paper.
Increase the heat to high so that oil is hot, then fry the poha in batches.
In a pan, add some oil for tempering, add mustard seeds and let them splutter, then add curry leaves, transfer the fried poha to a mixing bowl, and add chili powder and salt.
Notes
Flattened rice controls blood sugar levels and is good for diabetics.
It acts as a probiotic and is a source of healthy carbohydrates.
Poha is easily digestible, low in calories, and beneficial for health.
