Homemade Grated Potato Fritters

Ingredients

  • 3 potatoes
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon rice flour
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, fried and mashed
  • 1 stalk celery, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon powdered stock
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
  • A pinch of ground nutmeg (optional)
  • As needed oil for frying

Preparation

  1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly.

  2. Grate the potatoes coarsely.

  3. Mix all ingredients except the frying oil until well combined.

  4. Heat oil in a pan.

  5. Fry the mixture one tablespoon at a time until cooked and slightly browned.

  6. Remove from oil and drain.

Tips

  1. Do not peel the potato skins for added nutritional benefits.

  2. This method creates a crispy exterior and soft interior.
