Indonesian Fried Tofu Fritters
Ingredients
- 325 grams mashed tofu
- 1 egg
- Basil leaves to taste, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Seasoning to taste
Spice paste
- 1/2 piece baked shrimp paste (ABC brand)
- 4 shallots
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 curly red chilies
Preparation
Steam the tofu, squeeze out excess water, and mash it until smooth.
Grind the spice paste ingredients into a fine mixture.
Mix all ingredients together until well combined.
Shape the mixture into flat rounds.
Fry in hot oil until golden brown.
