Crispy Indonesian Corn Fritters
Ingredients
- 2 sweet corns
- 3 green onion stalks, chopped
- 75 ml water
- 5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- Cooking oil for frying
Ground spices
- 4 cloves garlic
- 3 shallots
- 1 roasted candlenut
- 2 kaffir lime leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon mushroom stock
Preparation
Wash the corn thoroughly, grind the spices, and remove the kernels from the corn.
Transfer the corn kernels and ground spices to another bowl, add the green onions, water, and flour, then mix until well combined.
Fry in hot oil, flipping occasionally until golden and cooked through, then remove and serve.
Tips
Serve with warm rice, chili sauce, or fresh chili for added flavor.
