Indonesian Martabak with Minced Meat Filling
Ingredients
Dough
- 100g flour
- 30ml water
- pinch of salt
- oil for soaking
Filling
- 100g minced meat
- 1 onion
- 1 garlic clove
- 3 eggs
- 5 green onions
- salt
- pepper
- curry powder
Preparation
Mix all dough ingredients except oil until combined, knead until smooth, divide into 4 parts, shape into balls, and soak in oil.
Sauté onion and garlic with minced meat, season with salt, pepper, and curry powder, and adjust taste.
In a bowl, beat eggs, then add the sautéed meat mixture and green onions.
Heat a flat pan with a little oil.
Take one dough ball, stretch it thin and flat.
Place the dough on the pan, add the egg filling, and spread it evenly.
Fold the dough like an envelope.
Fry until crispy and golden brown.
Tips
If no meat is available, use beef jerky instead.
If not in the mood to cook, consider buying it ready-made.
