Turkish Fried Pastry with Meat Filling

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon of vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 5 cups of flour
  • 2 glasses of water
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 300 grams of ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 large onion grated (with juice)
  • oil for frying

For the dough

  • 1 tablespoon of vinegar

  • 5 cups of flour

For the filling

  • 300 grams of ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 large onion grated (with juice)

Preparation

  1. Mix the dough ingredients together and knead until a smooth dough forms

  2. Let the dough rest for about 30 minutes to relax

  3. Prepare the filling by combining the ground beef, grated onion with its juice, and spices in a bowl

  4. Divide the dough into portions and roll each piece into thin circles

  5. Place a portion of the filling in the center of each dough circle, fold over, and seal the edges tightly

  6. Heat oil in a pan for frying

  7. Fry the pastries in hot oil until golden brown and crispy on both sides

  8. Drain on paper towels and serve hot
