Crispy Fried Chicken Skewers

Ingredients

  • 750 grams chicken breast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder

Batter

  • 1 egg (approximately 1 cup)
  • 200 milliliters soda water
  • 5 tablespoons flour
  • 1 packet baking powder (10 grams or 2.5 teaspoons)
  • oil for frying

Preparation

  1. Cut the chicken breast in half and slice into 1 cm thick strips.

  2. Add salt and spices to the chicken and mix well.

  3. In a bowl, mix egg, soda water, flour, and baking powder.

  4. Add the chicken to the batter mixture and stir to coat.

  5. Refrigerate for one hour.

  6. Thread the chicken on skewers if desired, then fry in hot oil until crispy and cooked.

Tips

  1. Serve with ketchup sauce.

  2. It pairs well with potatoes, salad, rice, or pasta.
