Chicken Nuggets with Sauce
Ingredients
Chicken
- 300 grams chicken fillet
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup starch
Coating
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup cold water
Sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cloves crushed garlic
- 1 teaspoon chopped chili
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon starch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
For frying
- Corn oil
Preparation
Mix the chicken ingredients together to form a uniform mixture and shape into nugget-sized pieces.
Prepare the coating by combining all coating ingredients in a bowl to make a batter.
Dip each chicken nugget into the batter until fully coated.
Heat corn oil in a deep fryer or pan and fry the nuggets until golden brown and cooked through.
For the sauce, combine all sauce ingredients in a saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring until thickened.
Serve the fried chicken nuggets with the prepared sauce on the side.
