Chicken Nuggets with Sauce

Ingredients

Chicken

  • 300 grams chicken fillet
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup starch

Coating

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup cold water

Sauce

  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cloves crushed garlic
  • 1 teaspoon chopped chili
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon starch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

For frying

  • Corn oil

Preparation

  1. Mix the chicken ingredients together to form a uniform mixture and shape into nugget-sized pieces.

  2. Prepare the coating by combining all coating ingredients in a bowl to make a batter.

  3. Dip each chicken nugget into the batter until fully coated.

  4. Heat corn oil in a deep fryer or pan and fry the nuggets until golden brown and cooked through.

  5. For the sauce, combine all sauce ingredients in a saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring until thickened.

  6. Serve the fried chicken nuggets with the prepared sauce on the side.
