Spiced Chicken Wings with Honey Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 kg chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup starch
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp ginger powder

Sauce

  • 1/4 cup corn oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1/2 cup butter

For serving

  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce

Preparation

  1. Mix all the dry spices and starch together to create a coating mixture.

  2. Coat the chicken wings evenly with the mixture.

  3. Prepare the sauce by combining oil, honey, ketchup, vinegar, sweet chili sauce, and butter in a pan and heating until well blended.

  4. Cook the coated chicken wings in an oven preheated to 200°C for 30-40 minutes or until crispy and fully cooked.

  5. Mix ketchup, mayonnaise, honey, and hot sauce to make a dipping sauce and serve alongside the wings.
