Indonesian Grilled Chicken Satay
Ingredients
- 400 grams chicken thigh fillet
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
Sambal
- 5 shallots
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 red curly chilies
- 6 red bird's eye chilies
- Salt to taste
- Sugar to taste
- Water as needed
- Chicken stock powder to taste
Preparation
Mix all chicken ingredients and let marinate in the refrigerator overnight.
Blend all sambal ingredients and cook briefly; set aside.
Remove chicken from refrigerator, skewer the meat, and grill until evenly cooked, flipping frequently to keep it white.
Serve the sate taichan with the sambal and a squeeze of lime juice.
