- 1/4 cup tahini or vegan sour cream (optional)
- 1/2 cup finely diced or grated cucumber
- 2 tablespoon finely chopped red onion
- 3 teaspoons lemon or lime juice, more to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 2 tablespoons chopped mint or use 1 tsp dry mint
- 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro optional
- 1 tsp salt, more to taste
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp chili flakes
Masala sweet potato fries
- 3 medium sweet potatoes (I used Japanese sweet potatoes), sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon corn starch
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mint powder (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder
- 1/4 teaspoon chat masala powder or more if preferred
- Few lemon wedges
Preparation
Combine all the raita ingredients in a bowl and put it in the fridge until ready to serve the fries.
Slice the potatoes into wedges.
Coat them with olive oil and corn starch.
Turn the air fryer to 390 F.
Air fry the potatoes for 15 minutes until they are crispy.
Mix the dry mint powder, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, and chat masala powder together.
Sprinkle the masala mix on the fries.
Squeeze some lemon juice and enjoy with the raita.
Tips
Do not skip the corn starch as it will make your fries extra crispy.
