Air Fryer Sweet Potato Wedges

Ingredients

  • 2 medium (460 g) sweet potatoes
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt plus more to taste
  • Black pepper and chili powder to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Preparation

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F/190°C.

  2. Wash, dry, and optionally peel the sweet potatoes.

  3. Slice each potato in half lengthwise and then cut into 3/4 -1 inch wedges.

  4. Transfer the wedges to a large mixing bowl, drizzle with oil and seasonings, and toss well to coat evenly.

  5. Spread the wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them for airflow and working in batches if necessary.

  6. Air fry for 15-18 minutes, flipping them halfway, until tender inside with crispy edges.

Tips

  1. For crispier results, soak the wedges in cold water for 10-15 minutes, then dry them thoroughly.

  2. Optionally, add 1 tablespoon of cornstarch or potato starch to create a crisp shell.
