Air Fryer Sweet Potato Wedges
Ingredients
- 2 medium (460 g) sweet potatoes
- 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt plus more to taste
- Black pepper and chili powder to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Preparation
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F/190°C.
Wash, dry, and optionally peel the sweet potatoes.
Slice each potato in half lengthwise and then cut into 3/4 -1 inch wedges.
Transfer the wedges to a large mixing bowl, drizzle with oil and seasonings, and toss well to coat evenly.
Spread the wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them for airflow and working in batches if necessary.
Air fry for 15-18 minutes, flipping them halfway, until tender inside with crispy edges.
Tips
For crispier results, soak the wedges in cold water for 10-15 minutes, then dry them thoroughly.
Optionally, add 1 tablespoon of cornstarch or potato starch to create a crisp shell.
