Vegan Chickpea Tuna Bagel Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas
  • 1-2 stalks of celery
  • few tbsp vegan mayo or unsweetened soya yogurt
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • some fresh dill
  • salt & pepper

Optional add-ins

  • 1 tbsp tahini
  • dijon mustard, to taste

Preparation

  1. Mash the chickpeas.

  2. Add in the other ingredients and mix together to make the vegan choona.

  3. Toast your bagel.

  4. Butter the bagel.

  5. Load the bagel with the vegan choona mixture.

Tips

  1. This doesn’t taste anything like tuna, but it’s a very nice sandwich alternative.
