Delicious Apple Pie Inspired Oatmeal Breakfast
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup quick oats
- 1 small diced apple
- 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of ground ginger
- Pinch of nutmeg
- Pinch of salt
- 1 date, pitted and diced
- 1 cup almond milk
Preparation
Combine all ingredients into a saucepan and bring to a simmer.
Allow to cook for about 3-4 minutes to allow apples to get tender.
Feel free to adjust seasoning or sweetness as desired.
Top with extra cooked apple that has been sautéed with a little more date syrup and a pinch of salt until softened slightly, about 2-3 minutes.
