Delicious Apple Pie Inspired Oatmeal Breakfast

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup quick oats
  • 1 small diced apple
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch of ground ginger
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 date, pitted and diced
  • 1 cup almond milk

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients into a saucepan and bring to a simmer.

  2. Allow to cook for about 3-4 minutes to allow apples to get tender.

  3. Feel free to adjust seasoning or sweetness as desired.

  4. Top with extra cooked apple that has been sautéed with a little more date syrup and a pinch of salt until softened slightly, about 2-3 minutes.
