Apple Pie Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup quick oats
  • 1 small diced apple
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of ground ginger
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 date, pitted and diced
  • 1 cup almond milk ?

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients into a sauce pan and bring to a simmer

  2. Allow to cook for about 3-4 minutes to allow apples to get tender

  3. Feel free to adjust seasoning or sweetness as desired

  4. I added some cooked apple, just reserved a few slices of my apple and cooked it with a pinch of salt, maple syrup and a little water

  5. The perfect topping
