Easy Pesto Bread Flower Party Appetizer
Ingredients
- 600 g all-purpose flour
- 1 cube fresh yeast
- 1 pinch sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 60 ml olive oil
- 300 ml lukewarm water
- 2 jars (300g total) green pesto
Preparation
Place flour in a bowl
Crumble yeast into 300ml lukewarm water and stir with a pinch of sugar
Add the yeast mixture to the flour
Add salt and olive oil and knead until smooth
Cover and let rise for 30 minutes
Divide the dough into 3 equal portions
Roll each portion into a circle (26-28 cm in diameter), using a plate or springform base for measuring
Place the first dough circle on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
Spread one jar of pesto evenly over the dough
Place the second dough circle on top
Spread the second jar of pesto evenly and smooth it out
Place the third dough circle on top
Place a regular-sized glass in the center of the dough circle and leave it there
Using a knife, cut the dough from the glass outward into 16 equal segments
Take two adjacent dough segments and twist them twice in opposite directions
Press the ends together gently
Repeat with the remaining segments
Preheat the oven to 200°C (convection: 180°C)
Bake the pesto flower for 20-25 minutes until golden
Serve warm
