Easy Pesto Bread Flower Party Appetizer

Ingredients

  • 600 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 cube fresh yeast
  • 1 pinch sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 60 ml olive oil
  • 300 ml lukewarm water
  • 2 jars (300g total) green pesto

Preparation

  1. Place flour in a bowl

  2. Crumble yeast into 300ml lukewarm water and stir with a pinch of sugar

  3. Add the yeast mixture to the flour

  4. Add salt and olive oil and knead until smooth

  5. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes

  6. Divide the dough into 3 equal portions

  7. Roll each portion into a circle (26-28 cm in diameter), using a plate or springform base for measuring

  8. Place the first dough circle on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper

  9. Spread one jar of pesto evenly over the dough

  10. Place the second dough circle on top

  11. Spread the second jar of pesto evenly and smooth it out

  12. Place the third dough circle on top

  13. Place a regular-sized glass in the center of the dough circle and leave it there

  14. Using a knife, cut the dough from the glass outward into 16 equal segments

  15. Take two adjacent dough segments and twist them twice in opposite directions

  16. Press the ends together gently

  17. Repeat with the remaining segments

  18. Preheat the oven to 200°C (convection: 180°C)

  19. Bake the pesto flower for 20-25 minutes until golden

  20. Serve warm
