Homemade Blackberry Jam with Gel Sugar

Ingredients

  • 500 g blackberries
  • 250 g jam sugar (2:1)

Preparation

  1. Wash the fresh blackberries thoroughly and place them in a high pot, mash lightly with a fork

  2. Add the jam sugar and mix well

  3. Boil the berries for about 4 minutes on high heat

  4. Blend the jam for 2 minutes with an immersion blender

  5. Strain the hot jam through a sieve to catch the seeds

  6. Fill the still hot jam into 3 jam jars (500 ml each) and seal well

Serving suggestions

  1. Enjoy on bread or in cream desserts
