Chicken Sweet and Sour Stir-Fry
Ingredients
- Oil
- Chicken (some or leftover)
- Stir fry vegetables (pre-packaged or chopped fresh)
- Garlic
- Ginger
- Chinese five spice
- Noodles (rice or choice)
- Spinach or chard (several handfuls)
- Optional: chilli
- Optional: lime juice
Sweet and sour sauce
- Brown sugar (1 tablespoon)
- Malt vinegar (1 tablespoon)
- Ketchup (3 tablespoons)
- Soy sauce (1 tablespoon)
Preparation
Heat oil in a wok and add chicken, cook it, then add stir fry vegetables.
Add garlic, ginger, and Chinese five spice.
Make the sweet and sour sauce using 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1 tablespoon malt vinegar, 3 tablespoons ketchup, and 1 tablespoon soy sauce.
Add the noodles.
Finish by adding several large handfuls of spinach or chard, and optionally chilli and lime juice to serve.
