Cranberry Chocolate Chip Scones

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup sugar + a little extra for topping
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • up to 1/2 cup additional add-ins (optional)
  • 1 tbsp melted butter (optional)

Preparation

  1. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl, add in heavy cream and mix well.

  2. Dump dough onto floured board.

  3. Knead 7-8 times.

  4. Mold into a round and then cut 8 slices.

  5. Place on greased baking sheet and add melted butter on top (optional) and sprinkle with more sugar.

  6. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes or until lightly brown on top.
