Crunchy Chocolate Seed Bark
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup raw hemp seeds
- 1/2 cup chia seeds
- 1/2 cup puffed quinoa
- 100g dark vegan chocolate
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- sprinkle of coarse sea salt
Preparation
Add chocolate, coconut oil, maple syrup and cocoa powder to a heat proof bowl and sit over a simmering saucepan of water to melt everything together.
When fully melted and mixed, set aside to cool to room temperature; it will stay in a liquid state.
Gently toast chia seeds in a dry pan for 30 seconds to make them really crunchy.
When the chocolate mix is cooled, stir in all remaining ingredients, pour into a baking-paper-lined tray, and put in the fridge.
After an hour or so, the mixture will become solidified; use a knife to crack it into rough pieces and store in the fridge.
