Gluten-Free Caramel Pretzel Shortbread Bars
Ingredients
- 10 tablespoons butter, slightly soft
- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons gluten-free flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup caramel sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 cup chopped pretzels
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons oil
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 9-inch pan.
Beat the butter and add the flour, egg yolk, vanilla, salt, and sugar until crumbly.
Press the mixture into the prepared pan.
Press chopped pretzels on top.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Allow to cool and pour caramel sauce on top.
Wait for it to cool, then melt the chocolate with oil and pour on top.
Notes
Optionally add sea salt.
Store in the refrigerator.
