Homemade Caramel Ice Cream
Ingredients
- 2 kg milk
For caramel
- 1.5 cups powdered sugar
- 2 packages cream (400ml each)
- 1 tablespoon butter
Preparation
Put the milk in a pot and cook for 1.5 hours while stirring continuously.
Meanwhile, for the caramel, put sugar in a pan and heat on medium heat until fully melted.
Add butter to the caramel and stir.
Then add cream and cook until sugar is fully dissolved.
Once the caramel cools, add it to the boiled milk and boil together for 15 minutes.
Transfer to a suitable container and let it cool to room temperature.
Place in the freezer.
After 4 hours, blend with a hand blender for 5 minutes.
Cover and return to the freezer.
After 5-6 hours, it is ready to serve.
Tips
If you want a denser consistency, blend again with a hand blender for 5 minutes after another 4 hours.
