Turkish Muhallebi Kadayıf Dessert
Ingredients
Kadayıf base
- 200 grams roasted kadayıf
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 1 coffee cup coarsely chopped walnuts or hazelnuts
Muhallebi
- 1 liter milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 1 package cream or whipped cream topping
- 1 package vanilla
Preparation
If the kadayıf is raw, roast it on low heat until golden brown.
Mix the roasted kadayıf with melted butter, sugar, and chopped nuts, then press into a baking dish and bake until crispy.
In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar, cornstarch, and flour, then cook over medium heat while stirring constantly until thickened.
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and cream or whipped cream topping.
Pour the muhallebi over the kadayıf base and refrigerate until set.
Serve chilled.
