Pan-Fried Caramelized Milk Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 liter milk
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tea glass plus 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 packet vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 5 tablespoons powdered sugar

Preparation

  1. In a saucepan, combine milk, egg yolk, 1 tea glass plus 1 tablespoon sugar, flour, cornstarch, vanilla, and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened to a pudding consistency.

  2. In a pan, melt 5 tablespoons of powdered sugar until it turns caramel color.

  3. Pour the cooked pudding into the pan with caramelized sugar and cook on low heat for 15 minutes.

  4. Remove from heat, let it cool, and rest for 2 hours before serving.
