Crispy Kadayıf with Creamy Muhallebi
Ingredients
Kadayıf mixture
- 200 grams roasted kadayıf
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 1 coffee cup chopped walnuts or hazelnuts
Muhallebi
- 1 liter milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons starch
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 1 package cream or whipped cream mix
- 1 package vanilla
Preparation
If the kadayıf is raw, roast it on low heat until golden and crispy
Mix the kadayıf with butter, sugar, and chopped nuts until well combined and set aside
In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar, starch, and flour, stirring constantly over medium heat until the mixture thickens
Remove from heat, add vanilla and cream or whipped cream mix, and stir until smooth
Layer the kadayıf mixture in a serving dish and top with the muhallebi, or assemble as desired
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld
