Protein Chocolate Oat Squares

Ingredients

Oat layer

  • 3/4 cup oats
  • 1/4 cup protein powder (vanilla flavored, or substitute with oat flour)
  • 1/4 cup nut butter
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Chocolate layer

  • 3/4 to 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup nut butter

Preparation

  1. Combine all the ingredients for the oat layer in a large mixing bowl and mix until a crumbly mixture forms.

  2. Transfer 3/4 of the mixture into a lined loaf pan and place in the freezer for 10 minutes.

  3. While the oat mixture is freezing, make the chocolate layer by melting the chocolate chips and nut butter until well combined.

  4. Pour the chocolate layer over the oat layer and crumble the remaining oat mixture on top.

  5. Let it set in the freezer for 15-20 minutes and enjoy.
