Rava Ladoo Diwali Sweet

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup ghee
  • 1 cup semolina
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • cashews
  • raisins
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder

Preparation

  1. Heat 1/4 cup ghee in a pan, add 1 cup semolina, and roast on low flame until it turns light brown and aromatic.

  2. Turn off the flame and allow the semolina to cool to room temperature.

  3. Meanwhile, in another vessel, prepare sugar syrup by combining 1 cup sugar and 1/4 cup water, and boil for 5 minutes or until one string consistency is achieved.

  4. Turn off the flame and add the roasted semolina to the sugar syrup.

  5. Add roasted cashews, raisins, and 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder.

  6. Stir continuously to avoid lump formation.

  7. After a minute, the semolina will absorb the sugar syrup.

  8. While the mixture is still warm, shape it into laddus using your palms.

Tips

  1. Serve once cooled completely or store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
