Homemade Strawberry Bubble Tea

Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 3 tablespoons tapioca powder
  • 1 cup tapioca powder
  • Honey or maple syrup (to taste)

Preparation

  1. Heat strawberries, sugar, and water for a couple of minutes then strain the mixture

  2. Add 3 tablespoons of tapioca powder to the strained mixture, mix it, and warm until a jelly texture forms

  3. Gradually add 1 cup of tapioca powder and mix well

  4. Form the mixture into little balls

  5. Boil the balls for 20 minutes, then let them sit in hot water for another 20 minutes

  6. Rinse the balls in cold water and add honey or maple syrup

Tips

  1. Make the tapioca balls smaller for better texture in future batches

  2. Combine with brewed black or green tea to complete the bubble tea
