Hot Ginger and Pandan Drink

Ingredients

  • 4 knobs of ginger
  • 700 ml water
  • 2 pandan leaves
  • Sugar to taste

Optional additions

  • Sweetened condensed milk for a milky variation

Preparation

  1. Roast the ginger until slightly charred and fragrant. Let it cool slightly, then peel and clean it.

  2. Blend the ginger with a small amount of water.

  3. Bring the remaining water to a boil and add the blended ginger mixture.

  4. Once boiling, add the pandan leaves and continue boiling until the mixture is flavorful. Taste to check if it is spicy enough, and if so, turn off the heat.

  5. Strain the ginger infusion into glasses. Add sugar to taste until the desired sweetness is achieved. Serve hot.

Tips

  1. For a ginger milk version, add sweetened condensed milk after straining.
