Traditional Brazilian Condensed Milk Pudding
Ingredients
Pudding
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can milk (same size as condensed milk can)
- 3 whole eggs
Syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups water
Preparation
Beat the eggs well in a blender
Add the condensed milk and milk, then blend again
Melt the sugar in a saucepan until caramelized, then add the water and let it thicken
Pour the caramel mixture into a round mold, then pour the pudding mixture over it
Place the mold in a larger baking dish filled with water, then bake in a moderate oven for 45 minutes
Insert a fork to check for doneness
Let it cool completely, then unmold
