Traditional Brazilian Condensed Milk Flan
Ingredients
Pudding
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 (12-ounce) can evaporated milk
- 3 large eggs
Caramel
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups water
Preparation
Blend the eggs well in a blender
Add the sweetened condensed milk and evaporated milk, and blend until smooth
Melt the sugar in a saucepan until golden brown, then add the water and cook until slightly thickened
Pour the caramel into a round mold, then pour the pudding mixture over the caramel
Bake in a preheated medium oven for 45 minutes with the round baking dish placed inside a larger dish filled with hot water
Insert a fork to check if it is fully baked
Let cool completely, then invert onto a serving plate
