Candied Lemon Slices Dessert
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 3 lemons
Preparation
Bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
Wash and thinly slice the lemons. Place the slices in the boiling water for about 2 minutes.
Remove the lemons from the water and place them on a wire rack.
Dump out the water. Bring a fresh 1 1/2 cups of water and 1 1/2 cups of sugar to a boil.
Place the lemon slices in the water and reduce the heat to low.
Boil the lemon slices for 40-45 minutes, flipping them around every 10-15 minutes.
Once the lemons are done, remove them from the water and place them on the cooling rack.
Once they have cooled, they are ready to enjoy.
