Bacon Pecan Goat Cheese Dip
Ingredients
- 3 slices of bacon
- 3 dates, pitted & chopped
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp coconut aminos (soy sauce works too)
- 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 8 oz goat cheese
- 4 oz cream cheese
- 1/2 tsp salt
Preparation
Place a medium saucepan over medium heat and cook bacon until crispy, about 6 to 8 minutes.
Remove bacon and set aside.
Add butter, brown sugar, coconut aminos, and Dijon mustard to the pan.
Whisk together until combined and sugar has dissolved, about 2-3 minutes.
Chop the bacon and add it to the pan along with chopped dates and pecans, then stir to combine.
In a separate bowl, combine softened goat cheese and cream cheese, and season with salt.
Scoop the cheese mixture into a serving bowl and top with the pecan mixture. Serve with crackers or bread.
Notes
Coconut aminos can be substituted with soy sauce.
