  • 3 dates, pitted & chopped
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp coconut aminos (soy sauce works too)
  • 1/2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 8 oz goat cheese
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Preparation

  1. Place a medium saucepan over medium heat and cook bacon until crispy, about 6 to 8 minutes.

  2. Remove bacon and set aside.

  3. Add butter, brown sugar, coconut aminos, and Dijon mustard to the pan.

  4. Whisk together until combined and sugar has dissolved, about 2-3 minutes.

  5. Chop the bacon and add it to the pan along with chopped dates and pecans, then stir to combine.

  6. In a separate bowl, combine softened goat cheese and cream cheese, and season with salt.

  7. Scoop the cheese mixture into a serving bowl and top with the pecan mixture. Serve with crackers or bread.

Notes

  1. Coconut aminos can be substituted with soy sauce.
