Thai-Inspired Peanut Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup natural smooth peanut butter
  • 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
  • 1 tsp garlic powder or 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 3 Tbsp light soy sauce or tamari
  • 1-2 tsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2-4 Tbsp hot water

Preparation

  1. Whisk all ingredients together until smooth.

  2. If the peanut butter is thick, add more hot water or heat it in the microwave first.

  3. Adjust the consistency with additional water based on preference.

Tips

  1. Store the sauce in the fridge as it keeps well and tastes better after resting.
