Spaghetti with Spicy Napoletana Sauce

Ingredients

  • spaghetti: 250g, cooked and drain (keep half a cup of pasta water)
  • tomato: 2 canned
  • garlic: 3 cloves, chopped
  • red onion: 1, chopped
  • basil: as much as you want ?
  • tabasco: 2tbsp
  • salt, pepper, oregano or thyme and oil: as required

Preparation

  1. Place saucepan on medium heat

  2. Add oil, onion and garlic and stir for 6-7 minutes

  3. Add salt, pepper and oregano and stir

  4. Add tomatoes، pasta water and tabasco sauce and stir

  5. Reduce heat to low

  6. Add basil, simmer, uncovered, stir occasionally for 30 minutes or until sauce is thick

  7. Add cooked spaghetti and serve with fresh basil
