Turkish Cheese Borek with Lasagna Sheets
Ingredients
- 18 lasagna sheets
- Salt
- 2-3 tablespoons vegetable oil
Filling
- 300g mixed cheese
- Half bunch parsley
Sauce
- 1 cup milk
- 100g melted butter
- 2 eggs
Preparation
First, boil water in a large pot, add 1-2 tablespoons of vegetable oil and salt, then add the lasagna sheets one by one.
Boil the lasagna sheets until soft, about 13 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
Fill a deep bowl with cold water and place it next to the pot, then put the cooked lasagna sheets into the cold water.
The dish consists of 6 layers with 3 lasagna sheets per layer; adjust the number based on your baking dish.
For the sauce, melt the butter, add milk and eggs, and whisk.
Grease the bottom of the baking dish, place a layer of lasagna sheets from the cold water, spread sauce on top, then place the second layer without cheese.
After placing the second layer of pasta, spread sauce and add filling for all layers, then spread sauce on the top layer and bake at 200 degrees until golden.
Tips
When boiling lasagna sheets, ensure they do not stick together.
This recipe is made with cheese filling, but a version with meat could also be delicious.
