Chocolate Trifle Pudding
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons starch
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon instant coffee
- 2 tablespoons powdered milk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups milk
- 2 egg yolks
- 100 grams chocolate
- 1 tablespoon butter
Filling
- 1 piece pound cake
- 2 medium cans mixed fruits
Garnish
- Whipped cream
- Cocoa powder
Preparation
In a deep bowl, place sugar, starch, cocoa, coffee, salt, vanilla, 1 cup milk and eggs, use a hand whisk to mix until smooth
Place the remaining milk in a thick-bottomed pot of medium size, put on medium heat to warm
Pour the hot milk over the mixture in the bowl and stir with the whisk until well mixed
Return the mixture to the pot and heat on medium until it boils and thickens, add chocolate and butter, stir until butter melts, let cool
Using a sharp knife, cut the cake into 4 slices of 1 or 2 inches thick, cut slices into cubes
Get 4 individual serving glasses, put some cake in each glass, spread a little fruit syrup, add 2 tablespoons of pudding, add some fruit mixture, add remaining cake pieces, pour a little fruit syrup, then add pudding, then a little fruit, then plenty of pudding
Garnish trifle glasses with whipped cream and cocoa powder
Place the trifle in the fridge for several hours
