Chocolate Custard with Pistachio and Biscuit
Ingredients
- 100 grams melted chocolate
- 1/2 cup finely ground pistachio
- 2 cups milk
- 3 large egg yolks
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons butter
Filling
- 6 pieces of biscuit fingers
Garnish
- Whipped cream
Preparation
Prepare 4 transparent glasses for serving and dip the rim in melted chocolate then in pistachio for decoration
In a medium-sized thick-bottomed pot, place the milk and heat over medium heat until well heated
In a deep bowl or large measuring cup, combine egg yolks, sugar, vanilla, and cornstarch and whisk until well blended
Pour the hot milk over the egg mixture and stir, then return the mixture to the pot and cook over medium heat, stirring with a wide plastic spoon until it boils and thickens to a smooth custard
Add the melted chocolate and butter and stir until fully incorporated
Distribute the custard into the glasses, place a biscuit piece on top of each, and refrigerate for several hours or overnight
For serving, garnish with whipped cream and serve immediately
