Apple and Cheddar Plant-Based Grilled Cheese

Ingredients

  • Bread (your favorite)
  • Plant-based butter
  • 2 slices cheddar-style plant-based cheese
  • 2 slices mozzarella-style plant-based cheese
  • Thin slices green apple
  • Red onion

Preparation

  1. Spread plant-based butter on one side of each bread slice.

  2. Cook red onion in plant-based butter for 5 minutes to caramelize.

  3. Build the sandwich by adding two slices of cheddar and mozzarella style plant-based cheese, then top with thin slices of green apple and caramelized onions.

  4. Heat a pan and place the sandwich buttered side down for 5 minutes over medium heat, covering with a lid to melt the cheese.

  5. Flip the sandwich and cook the other side for 5 minutes.
