Vegan French Toast
Ingredients
- 1/2 block of medium or firm tofu
- 3/4 cup non-dairy milk
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds (i learnt this secret ingredient from my mama!❤️)
- coconut oil or margarine for frying
- 8 slices of bread
Preparation
Blend together all of the batter ingredients until smooth, transfer to a large shallow bowl
Stir in sesame seeds
Lightly coat each piece of bread (one at a time) by dipping into batter and frying in a well greased pan over medium-low for about 2-3 mins per side
Watch carefully to not let burnt OR bake in a preheated oven at 425 degrees F for 20 mins, flipping once
