5 Ingredient Vegan French Toast

Ingredients

  • 1 heaping tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 1/2 tablespoon agave or maple syrup
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (any plant milk is suitable too!)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract ◦ cinnamon
  • bread! (4-5 slices)

Preparation

  1. Mix all of the ingredients except for the bread in a large bowl and place this in the fridge for 10-20 minutes to allow the chia seeds to soak up the liquid

  2. While doing so, preheat the griddle / pan to medium heat, and grease with coconut oil

  3. Now, take the bread and dip each slice into the mixture for about 20 seconds on each side

  4. Place on the pan and cook until golden brown, then flip it to cook until the other side is golden brown too

  5. Finally, you may now top this beauty! We recommend coconut yogurt, bananas, berries, and maple syrup
