Vegan French Toast Bites
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/3 cup silken tofu
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tbsp vegan butter
- 1 sliced baguette, slices should be fairly thick
Preparation
Heat a pan over medium-high heat
Add all ingredients except the bread and butter to a blender
Blend for about 1-2 minutes or until chia seeds are ground
Pour the mixture into a dish and leave to sit for 5 minutes
Add the vegan butter to the pan to grease
Dip each slice of bread into the mixture for about 20 seconds on each side
Fry for about 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown before flipping
