Easy Vegan French Toast
Ingredients
- Bread (sturdier type, dried or stale)
- 240ml plant-based milk
- 1-2 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1-3 tablespoons sugar or stevia
- Cinnamon
- Vanilla
- Pinch of salt
Preparation
Use a sturdier type of bread left out to dry overnight, or if using regular bread, roast on low heat until dry or leave overnight to stale.
Mix together 240ml plant-based milk, 1-2 tablespoons flour, 1 tablespoon chia seeds, 1-3 tablespoons sugar or stevia, cinnamon, vanilla, and a pinch of salt, then let sit for 5 minutes.
Dip bread slices into the mixture, coating completely but shaking off excess.
Fry on medium heat until golden brown on both sides.
Serve by rolling in a mix of cinnamon and stevia, drizzling melted chocolate, or eating with vanilla soya yoghurt.
