Mock Shark Fin Soup
Ingredients
- 1 packet crabstick
- Shitake mushrooms
- Carrot
- Cooked chicken
- Coriander leaves
Seasonings
- Minced garlic
- Sliced ginger
- Oyster sauce
- Black pepper sauce
- Sesame oil
- Ground black pepper
- White pepper powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 chicken bouillon cube
- 2 eggs
- Cornstarch slurry
Preparation
Heat a little oil and sauté minced garlic and sliced ginger until fragrant.
Add water as needed and bring to a boil.
Add oyster sauce, black pepper sauce, sesame oil, ground black pepper, chicken bouillon cube, white pepper powder, and salt, then stir well.
Add carrot, shitake mushrooms, and cooked chicken, then stir gently for a moment.
Add crabstick and stir, then let it boil.
While boiling, add cornstarch slurry and stir quickly, and add beaten eggs while stirring quickly to prevent clumping.
Let it sit for a bit, then taste and adjust seasoning.
Turn off the heat and sprinkle with coriander leaves.
Serving tips
Sprinkle with white pepper powder before eating for enhanced flavor.
