Vegan Tofu Ground Beef
Ingredients
- 1 block extra firm pressed tofu
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1.5 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp olive oil (omit for oil free)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tsp chilli powder
- 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
- Black pepper
Preparation
Press the tofu for at least 15 minutes to release the liquid.
Crumble the tofu into a bowl, add in all the ingredients, and mix well to coat completely.
Transfer to a lined baking sheet and bake at 400°F for 25-30 minutes until slightly crisped.
Tips
Omit olive oil for an oil-free version.
Doubling the recipe can make a larger batch for aesthetic presentation or more servings.
