Vegan Tofu Ground Beef

Ingredients

  • 1 block extra firm pressed tofu
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1.5 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (omit for oil free)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp chilli powder
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • Black pepper

Preparation

  1. Press the tofu for at least 15 minutes to release the liquid.

  2. Crumble the tofu into a bowl, add in all the ingredients, and mix well to coat completely.

  3. Transfer to a lined baking sheet and bake at 400°F for 25-30 minutes until slightly crisped.

Tips

  1. Omit olive oil for an oil-free version.

  2. Doubling the recipe can make a larger batch for aesthetic presentation or more servings.
